Easter Eggs

I still haven’t received anything in the mail from Joel Plaskett. Huh. I’m sure he’s busy studying the intricacies of my work. I’ll keep waiting. I imagine it’ll arrive in time for Easter.

However, I did wake up this morning to see that “More Blood Than Sleep (After B.C.)” from Another Murder in the Morning is a CHARTtrack today. That’s pretty neat.

I also discovered that you can listen to the soso perfomance (with Maybe Smith in tow) recorded live for CBC’s Canada Live this past February.

And I want to thank everyone who came out to the Saskatoon release show for Another Murder in the Morning last week at Amigos. I apologize for coughing my way through most songs. Jeff also had to drum while battling the flu, and at one point Joey—probably the only healthy member of band—almost threw up on stage from choking on his own heavy metal hair. Rock ‘n’ Roll. It’d be nice to have that night back with the option of everyone in the band being healthy, although I wouldn’t change a thing about Joey’s hair—he just has to learn the secrets of the heavy metal pros to keep it out of his throat. Even Polymaths had to leave their drummer at home due to illness. We had fun nonetheless, and I hope all those in attendance did, too. Although for the record, replacing beer with cough syrup does not make for an enjoyable sleep, and the hangover is twice as bad.

The band and I are looking forward to playing in Regina this [Good] Friday, once again with our friends Polymaths, this time on their home turf. Since it’s at O’Hanlon’s that means it’s a free show! And this time we’ll all be healthy.
